Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering Opportunities

Our volunteers are key to the running of nearly all of Community Networks services. We couldn’t do without them!

There are a few different volunteer opportunities at Community Networks such as helping out with the School Holiday Club, working behind the front desk in the office, being a Meals on Wheels driver, or assisting with the Justice of the Peace service (must be an appointed JP!).

See below for further information and feel free to call us on 03 443 7799 or drop by the office to discuss further.

Meals on Wheels Drivers

Volunteers collect meals at Elmslie House, Wanaka, and deliver them to clients in the area.

Delivery of up to 15 meals takes about an hour from 11.45am.

Volunteers can either be on a roster (one week approximately every two months) or make themselves available as Relief Drivers.

For more information please see below. Once completed please send by email to info@communitynetworks.co.nz or drop into our office.

Front Reception Volunteers

Volunteers are required to meet & greet clients, answer phone calls, give out information, take bookings for clinics (IRD, JP service, Community Law), take room bookings, bookings for Wheels to Dunstan shuttle, update statistics, do other clerical tasks as requested, and help keep forms stocked up.

Two hours initial training plus time to shadow other reception staff. Shifts are then scheduled for 2 – 3 hours a week, plus cover if/when required.

For more information please see below. Once completed please send by email to info@communitynetworks.co.nz or drop into our office.
